An ultra-detailed map of the brain region that controls movement, from mice to monkeys to humans

Through a large consortium brought together by the NIH’s BRAIN Initiative, hundreds of neuroscientists built a ‘parts list’ of the motor cortex, laying groundwork to map the whole brain and better understand brain diseases. The teams described their work in a special 17-issue article of the journal Nature.
